The Arahura is expected to leave Westport this morning for Nelson. The Warrimoo arrived at the Bluff from Melbourne via Hobart at noon yesterday. . According to advices whioh nave been received in Wellington, the Union Company's well known steamer Mahinapua is about to be dismantled and converted into a coalhulk. The Mahinapua was for many years a familiar trader on the New Zealand coast, and Bhe maintained for some time a service between Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Onehunga. Subsequently she was transferred to the Tasmanian trade, and ran between Hobart and Straohan. The Mahinapua is a steel twin-screw steamer of '386 tons gross and 239 net, built in 1881 by Denny and Brothers, of Dumbarton, for the Union Company. Her principal dimensions am— l6oft by 26.8 ft by 12.6 ft.
