Most of the Roman Catholic bishops in the Old Country recently issued pastorals in the course of which reference is made to politics. One of the most noteworthy pastorals-is that of the Bishop of Newport, in the course of which he says: "Let it be carefully noted that the use of the vote in defence and support of the Church is obligatory on Catholics.
