AMUSEMENTS.
ROYAL STANDARD PICTURES. The new programme shown Jast night at the Druids' Hall gave satisfaction to a largo number at this popular place of amusement. The programme has merit which appeals to the house, and applause is frequent and hearty. The comics, of which there are a large number, are a never failing source of pleasure and amusement to patrons. The dramatic films are a very strong lot. 'Wife or Mother' is a domestic drama; that ends happily wife and mother becoming reconciled in a drama thatis. "all well that ends well." "The Vendetta" isa story of jealousy and revenge. The very fine dramatic study entitled "The Devil," by David Belasco ? is another line specimen of the animated photographer's art. The scenic items^ "Vi'l.ige Life in Ireland,";. "Water Carnival in Mexico." "A Balloon trio over Paris," in which the districts at present undor water arc shown,. "The World's champion Skaters in Norway" are a very .fine. lot..,*- The same programme will be repeated to-night.
