YOUNG MAN KILLED AT WAKA-

PUAKA,

(From "The Colonist," Dec.3.) : A young married man named 'Thomas Frost, a son. of Mr T. Frost of Happy Valley, was kOed on the Wakapuaka road yesterday 'afternoon.' He was driving a pair of horses attached to a. dray loaded with potatoes/when they rari away and ho was thrown out and run over. The rioiso of, the runaway attracted the attention of Mr C. H. Coote, of Monaitrath, who/on going from his house found the-unfor-tunate man. lying on the roadi He was not dead but was unconscious, and evidently very badly injured. Mr Frost wa® removed to Mr o,o'ote' S boat house, where he was made as comfortable as possible with rugs and pillows, and Dr Banr was telephoned for, and a message was sent asking that the ambulance waggon be despatched to the scene. Dr Barr was quickly in attendance, but the v in]ur;d man died very shortly afterwarls, never having regained consciousness. He was badly injured internally and .his back was broken. The horses were stopped near Oldham's creek. _ Mn. Frost, who was employed by Mr' Jame s/ Morrison, resided at Wakapuaka. He leaves a widow and two young chu dren.
