BRIGHTWATER V. KAMURA. ~ r The .final match for the Senior Championship was played at the Park on Saturday, Brightwater securing an easy win by an innings and 46 runs Ihe wicket was -very wet owing to if nday mghts rain. Brightwater winning/the toss sent the Kumaras in to bat, but it proved to be simply a procession, the whole team being out for 43 runs, Bensemann 12, being the only one to reach double figures. H. Rnapp was the most successful bowler securing 5 wickets for 18 runs, and he performed the. hat trick in the second innings. At the, luncheon adjournment Brightwater had lost two wickets for eight runs, but on resuming after lunch the wicket had considerably improved H. Knapp and Pearless, by careful batting, carried the score to 58 before Pearless, was well caught at mid on for 25 Knapp 43, T. Newth 36, Haycock 19 (not out), and P. Lines 13, also reached double figures the innings closed for 156. • Kamura, requiring 114 to save an innings defeat, went out to make runs quickly, but the innings realised only 61, Fairey 18, Pike 15 (not out), and lreweek 11, reaching double figures. H. Knapp was again most destructive with the ball, securing 6 for 31. The fielding of the Brightwater team was very, good, whilst the Kamura fielding . was very much below their usual form.
