THE AERODROME.
A Paris correspondent informs a contempprary that Mr Wilbur Wright inaugurated the aerodrome at Pau most brilliantly, making, two splendid aeroplane flights, during which he explored the ground in every direction.'- iy;' „ The ; first flight, beginning at 4.12 w • e< L slx mmu *es, during which Mr Wright covered four miles and 300 yards^and rose to>a height of 150 ft. Ihe- second flight, at 4;48, lasted five minutes, and was over a distance of rour miles. Mr Wright performed most remarkable evolutions. He first flew off to distant parts of the ground, almost Disappearing . v Then, coming close to the centre of the aerodrome, he swooped round and round his shed, occasionally: bearing over at an angle of 45 degreeSj then tilting the machine over to a similar angle on the opposite side. - The flights were made with a new motorj which had never, before been tried in position in the aeroplane itself. Both Messrs Wilbur and Orville Wright expressed great satisfaction at the increased power of the new motor. - %
