WAKATU HOCKEY CLUB.

• The annual general meeting of the Wakatu Hockey Club was held in Mercers-r ooms last evening. There was a good attendance of members. The report and balance sheet was adopted. The latter showed a satinfactory credit balance. The following new members were elected :— Misses Everett, Hanby, Gibson, Scott, Lucas, Ingram, and Leaver. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as< follows :— President : Mrs (Dr) Andrew ;, Vice-Presidents, Messrs H. R. Duncan, G. A. Macquarie, S. Kirkpatrick, and Dr. Andrew; Club Captain, Miss D. Kelling ; Field Captain; Miss M. Whitwell; Hon Secretary, and Treasurer, Miss Hanby; Selection Committee, Club Captain, Field Captain, and Coach; Committee, Misses V. Coster, L. Coster and. A: Ingram, and officers ex officio; Coach and Delegate to Association. P. C. Hurst. Practice days wero fixed the same as last year, viz., Tuesdays and Fridays.' ' It was resolved to open the season ; this, Tuesday, afternoon, at the Botanical Reserve. ■".. ***
