ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED

Melbourne, March 25. The Postmaster General has received from the London Post Office an intimation that arrangements have been made for a. regular mail service via San Francisco, Papeete, Wellington, and- Sydney. The Mariposa, from San Francisco, will connect with the steamers of the Union Company at Papeete and bring on the mails to Australia. Owing to the recent irregularity of the service from San Francisco by the Australian mail line the new -service will be used for correspondence via San Francisco. The mail will reach Melbourne via Sydney from 41 to 45 days after despatch from London.•"' . •■'■..,
