A GIFT AT THE EXPENSE OF POSTERITY. (Received March 25, 0.10 a.m.) Melbourne, March 24. - Mr Fisher is of opinion that the. public clamour for the Federal- Government to take action in the matter of a Dreadnought will be over in a few days. It would be a fine, handsome thing to borrow money to make the gift, and allow posterity to pay off the loan. The Government would f have to find money for Australia's f own defence, that would be difficult > enough. i
