METHODIST CONFERENCE.

■ Wellington, March 3. It was announced at tile meeting of ■the Methodist Conference to-day that the Victorian Conference could not agree to the request for the transfer of theKev G.-Tregear for special mission work in Wellington. A discussion took place on the ques--tion of-HoinerMission Ayork. It was resolved^that a minister in full connection be set aside as ; organising secretary, to work on the lines so successfully adopted in the Australian States. The appointment will be made at once,, and the officer will be located in Auckland. His stipend is to be £275 per year. • The Rev. T. G.
