FIRE AT GISBORNE.

. Gisborne, Feb 24. A twelve roomed house used, as an adjunct to the Gladstone boardinghouse, owned, by Mr J. Townley and occupied by Mr. Fergusson, has been destroyed by fire. .The building was insured for £400 in the Alliance office and the contents for £200 in the Guardian office. The house had been used for many years as a doctor's residence. The. boarders lost heavily.
