Messrs Bisley Bros and Co report as follows : — - ■ Last week we held live stock sales at Thorpe, Tapawera, and Murchison.: . In each case, we had a large attendance and good "entries, almost every line bengsold by_ public auction:. The stock offered! consisted of .25 light "and draft horses, 138 head of cattle, l? 0 rams, and 3600 sheep. { /THORPE. <■ We had keen competition here for mixed cattle, which realised £4, '£4 12s "6d to £5 per. head; medium draught horses £20 and £32; Romney rams, according to age, £1 to £2 15s. Sheep: Two tooth wethers, small, 8s 7d to lls; crossbred ewes, full mouth, 8s 5d to 9s; mixed mouths 9s to 10s 3d. A line -of four and. six tooth ewes 125. : . ,■..'.. TAPAWERA. r ■' . Express horses £20 to £28; medium drafts £25 to £30. '..Bidding was poor for light sorts. ■ Romney mai-sh rams made £2, £2 17s 6d to £3 ss. English Leicester £2 17s 6d ; Shropshire to £3 3s 3d. . Yearling cattle ' 27s 6d ; two year and a half to £2 7s 6d. Lambs were in" strong demand; small stores realised 4s 6d, medium 6s 7d; good, 7s 3d to 8s 3d; broken mouthed ewes 6s to6slod; mixedmouthed ewes to 10s 6d; eight tooth 7s 6d to 9s, according to condition ;: a- few fat sheep realised 11s to 12s 6d.
