At the Addington yards to-day there was a very large entry of stock, and a good attendance of buyers, Fat steers and heifers 7 showed an improvement. There wat an improved demand in consequence ofthe weather now being cooler. Steers and 'heifers sold at fully £1 per head better -than last week. Steers made £7.256d- to" £10 7s;- heifers £5 to £8 12s 6d; and' cows £4 15s to £7 2s" 6d. Best beef sold equal to 22s 6d to 245 ; medium 19s to 225; and cow and inferior 16s to 18s 6d perlOOlbs. ; Veal calves made '4s 6d to 545, there being a medium entry. . -■■ A medium entry of store cattle was largely made up of a Southern consignment. • There was a fair sale for .useful sorts.
