STRIKERS FINED.
Hastings, Feb 5. At the Magistrate's Court at Hastings .to-day seventeen men were charged on the information of the Inspector of Awards that being employed at Thomas Borthwick _ and Sons' freezing works at Pakipaki and being bound by the Hawke's Bay freezing works award, they did gc on strike on January 13th. Each of them was fined £1, with costs. Three others, who did not appear, were similarly fined.
