One of the vehicles, on the, 4.30. p.m. train outwards yesterday became derailed at "Wakefield, and was the cause" of a few minutes delay in the running of the evening train' from Kiwi to Nelson. . A London cable message states that the Bank of New Zealand is issuing a. hundred thousand five per cent debentures of the" Wanganui Harbour Board at 101. The popular lecture recently delivered at various centres by Lieutenant Knox, organising lecturer of the Navy League, on the subject of "The Navy and Foreign War Ships," has been 'issued* in pamphlet form by the Otago branch of the League. The Secretary of-the branch writes" to us that a copy 'of the pamphlet will be posted gratis to anyone interested, upon application being made to him. _ There was' some amusement last : night at the scene of the street lee- \ ture.
