BORING FOR OIL.

Tho directors' report, to be presented at the annual mooting of the Trtranaki Oil and Freehold Company, states that the bore is now down BSS feet, of whion 740 feet are tbrou'gb very hard rock on difficult strata. The stafi is now reamiag the bore out to 14 incnes. From 449 toet downwards an encouraging show of oil was met with, improving steudily a 9 the boring proceeded. Tne directors S9e their way to continue their work for another year, but hopo to get ..oil before that time expires.
