A punitive expedition to punish the Murderers of the Greig family, at the -New Hebrides, consistedof native police and an armed party from H.M.S. Prometheus. The expedition surprisecftbe village tribe concerned in t s e murder. The inhabitants made a dash for the hills, but ,the native police fired, and six women and a child were shot. When the mail left the punitive party were still in pursuit.
