Mr Asquith announced that the Government bad decided to introduce anew Education Bill embodying the cmpninise. which, while not ideally perfect, yet provided a settlement without sacrifice of principle on either side. He believed there was solid reason for nnping thnt the settlement would meet with public suDport. "The Times" says that while meeting ttie grievances of the Nonconformists, -the Government have evolved a plan which is in no nay ungenerous towards the proper ac mands of tbe denominationalists.
