The "Chronicle" applauds Mr Asquith's notable declaration on naval construction, though the mc easa in the naval estimates will be five or six millions. It fears that Mr Lloyd George will be forced to face twenty millions additional taxation. A number of Radical newspapers are trying to water down Mr Asquith's declaration regarding tna navy. Two buodrfid and forty-four members of tiie House have petitioned .\Jr Asquith to, include a tax on land values in tae Budget.
