ShOOTING.
TADMOR DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
. The annual -meeting of the above club was held oh the range on Saturday last, when a fair number of members were present.
The secretary read the balancesheet, showing receipts and expendi fcura for the year. The receipts, including credit balance from last year, amounted to £42 os 3d, aud expenditure to £24 12s 6d, leaving a credit balance of £17 12s 9u.
Members expressed great satisfaction at the state of affairs and congratulated the club on its financial position. Mr A. Drummond was unanimously re-elected captain, and Mr G. Macmahon secretary 'and treasurer. Meessrs S. Moffit, T. Drummond, H. Kite, J. Lines, J. Christian, and R. Hannan were elected a committee of management for the ensuing year. Mr Drummond thanked the club for the position -they had placed him in, and expressed a hope that members would take a keen interest in shooting matters, and regularly attend the Saturday afternoon practices.
Mr J. Dickson, of Nelson, presented the club with a trophy,fwhich was won by T. Griffith ; and Mr J. Neale gave a trophy, which was won twice in succession by Mr T. Drummond.
The interest in shooting is likely to be considerably revived this autumn, as there is to be a good deal of trophy shooting, and the club is arranging "for a match on Easter Monday, g -^ ,-*-■*** — *****
