COCKLES AND ENTEKIC FEVER.
Wellington. March 6. Two cases of enteric fever are reported m the city. Both, though apart, have been traced to eating cockles in Oriental Bay. Tbe indentations in tbe harbor are liable to all kinds of pollution, and the Health Department issues a strong warning against allowing children or adults to gather shellh'qh in such j localities. j
