IMPORTATION OF LOBSTERS.

Dunedin, March 6. Captain Holmes, of tne Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Karamea, arrived this morning, bringing with him for the Otago Acclimatisation Society 31 lobsters from the Plymouth hcatcheries in England. This is the most successful shipment yet made, only three dying r on the voyage. The Karamea, on two previous occasions, attempted to bring out lobsters, but lost the greater number on the voyage. This time the lobsters were conveyed in tanks attachod to the refrigrating apparatus, by whch the water was kept at about" 08 degrees throughout the journey, resulting in the crustaceans arriving in a perfectly healthy condition. They were conveyed to the Pjrtobello hatcheries to-day.
