MISHAP TO A BOAT'S CREW.

The Marlborough Herald of Friday states that a mishap befel a boat's crew at the entrance of the Pelorus Sound. The master of the Elsie rereports that the barquentine Pnlofcos (Capt. Cozens), from Clarence River (Autsralia) for Wellington* has beett sheltering in Guard's Bay sino« Monday night. Provisions ran short, and on Wednesday Captain Cozens, the second mate ah*d : three of the crew, loft the ship, in a life-boat for the shore to obtain a supply. A squall capsized the boat, Bug all managed to scramble On to the boat's bottom, to which they clung for throb hours.. Tho prolonged absence created anxiety on board the vessel, and another | crew ; was ; despached in the second lifeboat t0 search, discovering the unfortunate men and rescuing ttienU The rescued part^ is suffering from exposure. Captain Cozens is much knocked about and bruised, though he is able to stand. One of tbe crew is. laid up. Tho captain states that he will remain in his present position until he feels able to continue the voyage, or he will arrange to be towed to Wellington. Medical assistance has been sent from Pioton, Dr. Redman leaving in. theJMoona. Tbe vessel belongs to Lane and Sons, of Auckland. The Elsie gave her a supplly of provisions..
