SEVERE EARTHQUAKE AT TONGA.

Auckland, June 20. The Tonga correspondent of the "Herald" says the residents of Muku Tilofa were startled from their slumbers 'about 1.15 a.m. on June Ist, by the most severe shock of earthquake since April, 2597. Theie was a great jar, as if the whole Island had dropped a foot or two, and had settled on a hard foundation.
