THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.
Palmerston North, June 19. During an address to the Dairy Conference, the Minister for Lands stated the Government intended to appoint inspectors of dairy produce in England. Also that the Government had been promised one thousand pouoda sterling by a gentleman interested in agriculture towards the cost of the nucleus of a dairy herd, and the Governmeat intended to purchase the beginning of such a herd from the best milking strains obtainable in the world.
