NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
Palmerston North, June 18. The Manawatu National Dairy | Show opened under favourable conj ditioos and fine weather. There was j a large attendance in the morning and evening. The agricultural|depart ment exhibits were a decided acquisition, and were greatly admired by the farmers. The machinery exhibits are an improvement on last year ftggS The butter and cheese awards were — Factory butter, two boxes, export: Rewa, 94; Warea, 93>£. The following tied : Hunny, Glen ,Oroua, Hawke's Bay, Mahahu, Mills, Katn, Rangiwahia, Waitara, 93 each. Factory butter, from bulk: Rangifcikei, 91 points; Waitara, 93^; Midhirst, 93 The winner gets a 'gold medal and a challenge cup, valued at 25 guineas. Novice class. 2 boxes, export: Glen Oroua, 94; Warea, 93)6; Mahahu, 03. Cheese— three cases, cream, cheddar: \Vaikonaiti,94; Edendale, 93>£; South Canterbury, 93.
