H BATTERY FANCY FAIR.

A CONTINUED SUCCESS. Last evening the Carnival and J"ancy Fair now being held by the H 3attery at the Drill Shed was again veil patronised- and excellent busiioss was done at the various stalls md side shosvs. The Garrison Band igain played selections outside the Hall, which attracted a considerable jrowd. A miscellaneous entertainment was presented, items being jontributed by Messrs F. Aydon md Ford (cornet duet), Bindley (comic), Frith (funny stories), A Aydon, junior (song), Miss Wiinsetfc (mandoline solo), and M.tss H, Richards (song). Misg Fowler accompanied most efficiently. "Fitzsimmons and Corbett, " two lighting dummies, were most cleverly manipulated by Mr G. Johnson, oil Wakefield, and caused much amusement. The Garrison Band again playod selections outside the Drill Hall, thuß completing the three niehts for r which they gave their services. The » music provided by the Band was much appreciated by the public. Through wrong information given it was stated yesterday that the Citizens' Band played on Thursday evening. This Band will play and on Monday and Tuesday. To-night the BBzaar will be opened at 7.30, and special attractions will be offered. An entire change of programme will be submitted this evening by the Battery Coons, and "Corbett and Fitzsiramons," and "Sporting Carl" will again appear. Country visitors will have an oppotunity of visiting the Bazaar to-night, the Railway mana- i ger (Mr Thos. Edwards) having ' kindly consented to delay the out train until 10.30 p.m. '
