THE CREW SAFE ~~" Dunedin, Feb 16 The Customs officer at Dunedin re ceived the following telegram this morning : " The Raikiura . went ashore 43^ miles north of the Nuggets atfl.44 a.m in a dense fog. She is lying bow on to the beach. No damage is done to the vessel, and the crew are all safe. There is a heavily easterly sea. — (Signed) Dow." Feb 17 The latest ""news concerning the Rakiura states that she is still in a safe position on the beach. The tug Kaputai left on r Saturday night with a spare H anchor, cables and other gear. 'She is standing by about half a mile off, waiting for the tide when an attempt will be made to tow her off. Tho weather is clearing, but there is some doubt to whether the tug can approach close enough to be of, any eeivice.
