WEDDING BELLS.

HOBY-BOYD. On Tuesday last, at the Cathedral, a very pretty wedding was solemnised by his Lordship the Bishop of Nelson, assisted by the Rev J. P. Kempthorne, the contracting parties being Mr George Hoby and Miss Muriel Boyd, youngest daughter of Mrs G Boyd, Collingwood street. The bride's dress was of white embroidered chiffon over taffeta silk, with court train of satin trimmed with Mechlin lace. The bridesmaids were the Misses Hoby (sister of the bridegroom), Houlker and Richmond. Mr Chancy acted as best Irian, with Mr Hugh TDeggatt and Mr Cecil Levien as groomsmen.- The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold watch and chain, and' the bride's gift to the bridegroom a gold sovereign case. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Dr and Mrs Barr, Collingwood^ street. The bride's travelling dress was of pastel blue cloth with dark red velvet and rose hat.
