THE BAND CONTEST.
(Per United Press Association). Christchurch, Feb 14 The Exhibition Band Contest was continued to-day. At 9.45 a start wae made with the grand test selection, and at the luncheon adjournment at one o'clock only eight bands out of the twenty-nine competing had played the piece. The Dunedin Navals had to play first, "and the Nelson Garrison Band has the nineteenth place. The contest will extend into the small hours of tomorrow morning.
