MOTORING FROM AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON

Wellington, January >< The motor reliability contest organised by the Auckland Automobile Association, came to a close this evening, when the cars taking part arrived in Wellington. There were only eight cars, two of which were merely touring to complete the journey from Napier to Wellington, the others having met with mishaps. Two of the competitors lost their way and much time in gotting back to the main road. Most cf the Cadillac cars came through the test fairly well. So far as is known tho 10 h.p/Cadillae, I driven by R. A. Dexer, and the 15 h.p. Daracq, driven by W. B. Leyland, are about equal fur first nlace.
