Wellington, September 18. Hubert Gflgg, charged with abducting Nellie Muir, 16 years of age, was remanded at the Police Court this morning to appear at Weatport. Westport, September 18.' ■ Mr James Lynch, barrister and solicitor, died this morning, Invercargill, September 18. A Chinaman named Ah Fong, employed as a cook at Nokomai, found a bottle of whisky on the roadside. He drank the contents, and was seized with illness, which proved fatal on Sunday.
