In the House of Commons, during a crossfire of questions by Mr Keir Hardie, Mr Dalziel and other Radicals regarding the exposure of Bambaata's head, Mr Churchill, Undersecretary for the Colonies, nibbed off a score against Lord Kitchener, saying the events in Natal were noc half so disgraceful to civilisation as the treatment of the Mahdi'sbody had been. The "Daily Chronicle" and the "Westminster Gazette" deplore Mr Churchill's methods.
