London, July 10. The wool sales opened quiet at par to five per cent decline. Received July 11, 11.8 p.m A joint catalogue of ten thousand and forty bales of very poor selection, including two thousand one hundred and eighty from Puntas, and eleven hundred fire and waterdamaged New Zealand wool. There was a large attendance, and fair competition. Compared with the May closing, greasy crossbreds were firm and unchanged Scoured slipes declined five per cent. Merinos sold at from par to five per cent decline. The dullness is attributed mainly to the poor selection.
