ROAD BOARDS.
UPPER MOUTERE. The monthly meeting of the Upper Moutere Road Board was held on Saturday,all members being present, ' Mr'Beuke in the chair. The minutes were confirmed, and accounts were passed for £65 17s. Correspondence was read as follows:— From the clerk of the Waimea County Council, notifying payment of £30 instalment rate; fiom the Treasury, Wellington, advice nofce of payment of £32 7s 6d on account of Government grant work on Blackbird Valley Road; from Mr Graham, M.H.R., acknowledging receipt of petition from the district for a grant for Bronte road, and agreeing to forward same to the Minister for Public Works; from the Chief Surveyor, District Land Office, Btating that applications from the Board for {^progress payments on account of work done at Line's Bridge and Blackbird Valley road out of grants had been certified and forwarded to Wellington Resolutions passed :— That a day's repairing be done on Supplejack Valley road ; that Mr C. Ducker be given notice to cut the willows shading the bridge on Neudorf road ; That Messrs Beuke, G. Bensemann A. Bensemann, and Drogemuller senr. inspect and pass the timber ordered for Lines' Bridge; that Medsrs G. Bensemann and Droge. muller senr. be authorised to sign the cheques for the Government grant works.
