FOXHILL.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The anniversary social gathering in connection with the Foxhill Wesleyan Church was held at Foxhill on Wednesday, July 4th. The JRev. S. H. D. Ferryman occupied the chair and an excellent programme was provided. Visitors were present from Nelson, including the Rev. C. H. Garland, also Mr and Mrs Meats, and materially assisted in making the gathering the success that it proved to be. The programme consisted of solos and duets, both instrumental and vocal; addresses by the Revs. Garland and Ferryman ; solo (instrumental) Miss Estlle Tunnioliffe, (vocal) Mesdames Ellis and Bryant. Misses Eunice and Alma Tunn'icliffe, A. Cropp, L. Neilson I. Cole, Messrs Mears and T. Field; duet, Miss Cropp and Mrs Edridge : recitation, Misses E. Tunnicliffe and Cropp. During the evening the Chairman made a presentation to Mrs Edridge of a silver breakfast cruet on behalf of the members and adherents of the Church, in recognition of her long and meritorious services as organist, she having recently resigned the p osition. Mrs Edridge briefly replied. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies, after which the gathering closed with the singing of the Doxolgy.
