THEATRE ROYAL.

CARNIVAL COMEDY SEASON.

r For the Carnival week the great theatrical attraction will be the production of two high class and excruciatingly laughable comedies, written by A. W. Pinero,- The Scoolmistress" and "Dandy Dick" being performed by special arrangements with MrJ. C. Williamson. The first great production of the 'season, commencing on Monday evening next, will bo the romantic atory of "The Schoolmistress" and her hen-pecked husband. The piece abounds in most amusing situations, culminating in the fire scene at the young ladies' boarding school during the supper party being given to a few male acquaintances by the young ladies during the absence of the lady principal, finally concluding by the appearance of the schoolmistress. The remainder of the story we will leave for the audience to see and appreciate. The performance will be under the patronage of the Right Hon. E. J. 'Seddon. who has signified hia intention of witnessing the plays should he be in Nelson. A full house is already assured as a glance at the box plan will show.
