CHILLED BEEF SHIPMENT.
DuNEDiN, September 12. ".Information has been received that the shipment of chilled beef sent to London by the s. s. Tokomaru, as an experimental consignment from the Burnside Freezing Works, has been landed in an unsatisfactory condition, and has been condemned. High hopes were entertained concerning this experiment, especially as excellent results followed the local tests under the same conditions as far as possible as regards temperature, etc. ■
