FIRE ON A BARQUE.

Lyttelton, September 13. i A fire broke out this afternoon in the sail locker of the Norwegian barque Alma, of 479 tons. She was lying at the Gladstone pier, and vvaa preparing for sailing for Supreme Island. It is stated that a lighted candle was overturned is the locker, and a quantity of oakum was set on fire. The outbreak was extinguished after some difficulty with the assistance of a tug and the Fire Brigade. Six Bails were badly burned.
