The Minißter for Public Works has ! promised to comply with the request 1 of Mr Graham, M.H.R., to lend the flags and bunting belonging Sto the Government for the Nelson Centenary celebrations. Mr Graham, M.H.R., has received the following letter from the Minister for Railways: — "With reference . to your letter of the 17th July in . support of a resolution by the Nelson Chamber of Commerce, urging the . provision of a waiting-room at the , Nelson wharf for passengers arriving late at night. I have the honor to in- [ form you that at the entrance to the wharf there is already a waitingroom, with separate accommodation, which is open, and lighted, for early and late arrivals of steamers, and if ' is considered amply to meet the rei quirements of the traffic.
