SHIPWRECKED MARINERS.

SYMPATHY AND GRATITUDE

Dunedin, May 18.

The officers and crew of the wrecked French ship Anjou left today by the s.s. Wnikare for Sydney, a " large crowd mustering on the wharf to see them off. The acting Vice-Consul for France has received a letter signed by the master and first and second mates, on behalf of the crew, thanking him for what he has done for them, expressing gratitude for his kindness, and also for that of Captain Bollons, who had done everything in his power to make them comfortable, and asking that their deep sanse of Captain Bollons' services might be conveyed to the Government. They have no doubt that if they had not discovered the Government depots some of them would not have survived. They also thank the Shipwreck Relief Society for assistance, and the many, friends who interested themselves on their behalf.
