London, February 28. Lord De Freyne has accepted his tenants' terms for his French Park estate. The Greenwich Council of the Conservative Association has decided to support Lord Hugh Gecil. The Liberals have appealed for £50,000 to help the poorer constituencies, and have received £34,000. Miss Ada Crossley made her debut at Dresden, and had ten recalls. Messrs Tait, of Melbourne, have arranged with Jan Kubelik, the violinist, to give thirty concerts in Australia and New Zealand. Kubelik opens in Melbourne in September. The Hon. A. Lyttelton, Secretary of State for the Colonies, cabled Earl Grey on the occasion of the Paardeburg Day dinner at Ottawa, and said he hoped and believed that Canada would always be beside the Motherland in the defence, safety, and honor of the Empire. In wool the arrivals to date are 362,500 bales, forwarded direct to manufacturers 190,500 bales, available to the ensuing Bales 176,000 bales.
