NEW GUINEA.
( MASSACRES BY NATIVES. ' Received Jan. 5, 1.19 a.m. < Brisbane, January 4. , News from German New Guinea reports the massacre of two Europeans, Mr Dowell, an engineer, and ' Mr Reinhardt, a traders' agent; two Chinese, and ten friendly natives at the New Guinea Company's Peterhaven Station. An attempt was made to kill a trader at another of tfie Company's stations at the latter plnce. A punitive expedition killed 25 hostile natives. Disputes occurred over land transactions.
