deceived March 4, li. 15 p.ni Rome; March 4; The . fcwenty-fif th anniversary of the Pope's enthronement was celebrated to-day, when ecclesiastics from all parts of the world were present. Seventy thousand people took part in the service at the Basilica. The Pope was in good health, but he was pale, and his voice was marked with hoarseness as he intoned the Te Deum. Peals of bells rung from 493 churches. Cardinal Gibbons, on behalf of the American hierarchy, clergy and laity, sent a Marconi mess&ge from Cape Cod to Cornwall, for transmission to Rome, conveying congratulations to the Pope.
