Colonial Loans
Received March 4, 11.10 p.m. Brisbane, March 4. r The Premier to-day received a London cable which advises of Australian three per cents are at 90; This is probably the lowest fignre that has been . reached. Further it intimated that rumors concerning the depressed state of the London market caused a failure of the New Zealand flotation. The cable concluded: "Resources engaged in other directions." This Is taken to mean that numerous loans projected from other countries on the London mar- j ket have absorbed all the present resources of available money. The words, "the crusade has ended," is taken to indicate that the attacks \ against colonial securities have j ceased. These advices will probably induce the Queensland Government to withhold its loan for the present.
