Export of Eels.
Dusedin, September 2. It was suggested at to-day's meeting of ho Acclimatisation Society that a new ndustry, giving employment to a number )f men, might be established by catching md shipping eels to the London market, a itep too, that would protect the trout. It k&s stated that eels of from 21bs to 2|lbs, ;he only kind saleable in London, could be secured easily. Mr Begg undertook to get the eels frozen if sent to him, and Mr Farquhar undertook to secure eels for an experiment.
