RAILWAY PROJECT.
Adelaide, September 27. The Government bas rejected a privav'e offer to construct a trans-Continental land grant railway from the western terminus of the line to the coast of West Australia, the objeot being to bring the eastern colonies ih more rapid communication with Europe, on the ground thnt they oonsider tbe scheme itoprabtioable.
