CAMERA CLUB.— LIME LIGHT VIEWS.
In connfction with the Nelson Camera Club, an exhibition of lima light viaws took plaoe at the Provincial Hall last night in the presence of a large and appreciative aadienoe. Mr G. Y. Fell, the President of tho Club, nndertook the task of lecturer, and he explainei that by arrangement with other oluba an inter-ohange of transparencies bad been arranged for. The Neleon Camera Omb had received from England a large number of beautiful slidep, depicting Derbynhire ecen'ry. and p's > a lar^e nuuii/cr of dou.L Australia, wnioh were blbo about to be shown prior to their being Bent on to other clubs. Thereupon Borne hundred and fifty interacting transparencies were shown. The Derbyshire views included several piotares of Chatworth, and the scenes which brought to memory Sir Walter Scott's Peverell of the Peak,; were, naturally full of interest. The South Australian views were also viewed with great interest, but, bo far as regards natural beauty spots, the recent exhibition in conneotion with the Camera Club unquestionably proved that New Zealand must take front tank, (bough the ancient edifices aad magnificent piles shown last night evoked not merely a patriotio feeling, but also a thorough appresiation of their beauty and their interest. Ihe exhibition was evidently very greatly appreciated. Mr Fell in the oourse of hie remarks acknowledged their indebtedness to Miß. I Eingsley for the loan of fcia fine anfcern, and to Mr Moore for his tkb't ser?ioßß in showing the pictures.
