NELSON AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLING CLUB.

A Committee meeting of this club was held at the Commercial Hotel last evening, Mr Mercer beiog in tbe ohair. The amended rules of the New Zealand Amatenr Athletic Association were considered, and it was deoided that the club's delegate, Mr J. B. Laurenson, be allowed a free band in the matter.

It was deoided that a sports meeting be held on Wednesday afternoon, tbe 25th of September, to start at 3 p.m., a bicycle procession to take place previous to the meeting. The following ia the programme of events : 100 yds Fiat Handioap, 1 Mile Cycle Handicap. 1000 yds Flat Handicap, 220jds All Sohoole Bace Handicap, 10 Mile Cyole Handicap. Entrances, ls eacb, (All Schools event free), to close on the 14th September. It was decided that the following gentlemen be asked to officiate :— Beferee, Mr C. Y. Fell ; Judges, his Worship the Mayor (Mr F. Traßk), and Messrs G. A. Macquarie and P. B. Adams ; Starter, Mr W. S. Littlejohn ; Clerk of Course, Mr W. B Walker ; Timekeepers, Messrs Moyes, Hunter, and Kerr; Markemen, Messrs Major, Pollock, andCresßwell; i.Lap Scorers, Messrs Topliss, Burns, and j! Saarp, junr. ; Handicappers for All Schools Bace, Messrs Broad and Gibb3; Handicappers for other events, Meßara Mercer, Simpson and Poole ; Marshall, the Cap* tain ; Field Judges, etc., the Committee.
