NELSON DISTRICT.
The nomination of candidates for the representation of Nelson City in the New Zealand Parliament took place in the Provincial Hall, on September, Ist, when Dr Irvine proposed, and Mr Akersten seconded^ the nomination of Mr Oswald Cxjktis ;, Mr James Sclanders and Mr Moutray riomi-; nated Mr Acton Adams; Mr A. Robertson proposed, and Mr W. T. Bond.seconded Mr John Q-raham j and Mr Wm. Haddovv, nominated Mr Albert Pitt, who ' was seconded by Mr H. A. Levestam. Messrs Curtis and Adams obtained .the show of hands, and the poll was announced for; September 6th.
